SSIMED's EMR to Incorporate Medicomp's MEDCIN Clinical User
Presentation Engine

Windsor, CT, June 10, 2005 - SSIMED Corporation is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Medicomp Systems, Inc., to include the MEDCIN clinical user presentation engine in its EMRge™ electronic medical records system. EMRge is SSIMED's newest addition to its suite of practice management and workflow applications.

"We recognized early into EMRge's design process the need for a comprehensive clinical knowledge engine. We wanted to find an engine that would enable physicians to easily document patient encounters while at the same time codifying the clinical data for future reporting and exchange. Medicomp's new .Net version of MEDCIN was the clear choice," said Frank Perrotta, Jr., CIO of SSIMED.

Adding MEDCIN's clinical knowledge engines and software development tools expands the capability to record patient information at the point of care, including history, physical, treatment plans and doctors' orders. MEDCIN also adds the capability to analyze patient information and support the physician in diagnosis and treatment.

MEDCIN® is currently in use by over 30,000 ambulatory clinicians, growing at 500 per week. MEDCIN is used by the Dept. of Defense CHCSII health system and in the EMRs of 13 prominent companies.
