SSIMED Unveils the Newest Version of Practice Manager™ Software
During Their Annual Client Forum

Windsor, CT, October 28, 2007 - SSIMED unveiled the latest version of their top rated practice management software at their Annual Client Forum in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. SSIMED’s Practice Manager ™ version 6.0.8 has been completely rewritten using Microsoft’s .NET framework offering more flexibility and additional features.

“This year’s Client Forum was the perfect time to unveil the new Practice Manager.  Our clients come to the Forum to learn during our training sessions and see what new products and enhancements we have coming up.  By showcasing Practice Manager to our regular users, we were able to collect additional feedback to further enhance the product before our launch in 2008,” said Al Sesta, Vice President of Application Development.

A few of the enhancements include new security features, greater flexibility when searching for patients, and better presentation of patient information and alerts.  One of the showcase features is the “Desktop” that gives all users a quick snapshot of their activities for the day.  All users will also have access to intra-office messaging and tasking, which previously had only been available to EMRge users.

“For all the clients that use Practice Manager, the newest version will look and feel like many of the other products they are used to using everyday.  They will be able to take advantage of standard functions such as copy, paste and dragging.  For those clients also interested in electronic health records, the move to .NET allows for seamless integration with SSIMED EMRge™,” said Frank Perrotta, Jr. CIO of SSIMED.

Practice Manager version 6.0.8 will be released in the first half of 2008.
